Summary This position is located at Outdoor Recreation, Fort McCoy, WI. Fort McCoy operates one of the premier Outdoor Recreation programs in the Army. Pine View Campground is a large full service campground that includes over 170 campsites and 17 cabins. A well-stocked camp store provides essentials and a wide range of activities are available to guests to include a beach, water sports, fishing, miniature golf, playgrounds, pavilion areas, hiking trails and equipment rental. Responsibilities Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees within the Custodial Department. Assists other operations within the Outdoor Recreation program. Assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily basis. Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance. Supports the activity by applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials and facilities. Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet recreational needs including a variety of multi-disciplinary events such as social activities, tournaments and other major programs, such as ethnic, patriotic, and observances. Assists with training new personnel. Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Must have knowledge of a wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities. Must have basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding for supplies and equipment. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English). Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. Highly Preferred Criteria: (All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit). One year experience supervising staff. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
