Job Description Summary
The Value Stream Shop Focal demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This position will be responsible for serving as the Edison Works Delivery cost initiative focal for an assigned manufacturing shop. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
You will support cost PSR / action work outs for project ideation at your assigned shop. You will help coordinate meeting planning and execution, as well as help manage shop implementation for engineering and supply chain-owned projects. You will integrate with the MSO Cost IPTs, Value Stream Engineers in the Shop, as well as Value Stream Engineering to track cost projects, identify necessary engineering support, define and validate savings. You will be a regular participant in cost and lean shop events, as needed.
You may also perform other similar related engineering and / or supply chain tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities
Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
Interface between sourcing, quality, engineering, and purchase services resources executing defined projects
Drive MSO cost projects to implementation.
Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as needed.
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments within the shop.
Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of Engineering Experience
Minimum of 1 years experience in rotating parts manufacturing
Desired Characteristics
Expertise in the producibility process, should costs and cost out
Experience with rotating part manufacturing.
Influencing and program management skills.
Ability to guide and influence others
In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
