THE WORK

As a Scrum Master, you will act as an enabler for the effective functioning of a software development team using Agile methodologies.

Your responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring the Scrum Team(s), removing barriers to successful implementation, and facilitating scrum and agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting progress via appropriate metrics. In addition, you are expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep knowledge in Scrum and Agile Project Management.

You will act in an advisory role in meetings and be the primary contact (go-to person) for Scrum and Agile Project Management.

You will also be expected to publish on your area of expertise within and outside of Accenture, present at conferences, and provide solutions to business areas and Accenture-wide problems.

Furthermore, you will contribute to and be held directly and indirectly responsible for business area decisions, define business area goals, and may be held directly or indirectly responsible for organizational-level decisions.

Advanced proficiency in Scrum and Agile Project Management is required. Advanced proficiency in Agile Process Coaching, Agile Methods (ADM for Distributed Agile Development), and Agile Scrum Project Management are recommended.

Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Coach and mentor the Scrum Team(s) to ensure effective implementation of Agile methodologies

Identify and remove barriers to successful implementation of Agile methodologies

Report progress and metrics to stakeholders

Continuously improve Agile processes and practices

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Heres What You Need:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role

Certified Scrum Master CSM or similar certification

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 5 years of experience in the Scrum Management activities like Scrum principles, practices and values

Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills

Ability to remove impediments and navigate conflicts

Minimum 5 years of experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA is a must

Bonus Points, if:

Experience with scaled Agile frameworks

Knowledge of Kanban principles and practices is preferable

Experience with coaching distributed teams is preferable

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
