How you can make a bigger difference:
The Jewish Boards Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally affirming, person-centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resiliency of our communities.
The Office Assistant supports the program by carrying out tasks that ensure the clinic runs smoothly and we can provide quality services to our clients and families.
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support to Office Manager and clinic administrative staff
- Answer incoming calls and make necessary outgoing calls for our providers. Taking messages as needed for staff.
- Checking in clients- insurance check, collect and apply payments, inform clinicians of clients arrival
- Scheduling/re-scheduling clients and maintaining scheduling calendars for clinic staff
- Record copayments and private fees in Avatar system
- Verify payment front logs with daily receipts on a daily basis
- Enter transportation data into the NYC PTAR system as needed
- Assist with charts/filing/scanning, Photocopying and mail projects
- Assist with coordinating Open Access: including explaining intake packets to clients, assigning clients in Avatar system
- Track and anticipate clinic needs to order supplies accordingly
- Maintaining the appearance of the reception area and waiting room.
Qualifications:
The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented individuals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma plus 6-years of relevant work experience OR Bachelors degree plus 3-years of relevant work experience.
