Reports to: Head of Precious Metals Operations – Americas
Position Purpose:
As a member of the Precious Metals team, the employee will work with our sales, back-office, other depositories teams to support our customers. The Precious Metals Vault Supervisor will be responsible for helping the managers implement and administer policies and procedures as well as monitoring and controlling daily operations and assisting long-term logistics and the precious metals storage facility as specified by management as well as working in conjunction with additional business units. The employee will work alongside Management to develop and maintain a professional employee-centered culture, a safe and secure operation, a high level of service delivery, and cost effective and productive operations. This includes operational responsibility for all the precious metals vault and facility security operations as mandated by company standards and procedures, and as directed by on-site & external management.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with leads to ensure accurate stock ins and stock outs.
- Verify & process incoming shipments.
- Check inventory and order replenishment of supplies.
- Assist management with COMEX related operations.
- Physical counting and reconciliation on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Making sure order fulfillment shipments are packed accordingly.
- Assist management in preparing and verifying audits to ensure proper balancing of the vault.
- Ensure accurate monthly billing.
- Coordinate daily order processing in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain availability to perform all tasks and to cover for the Vault Lead in case of absence.
- Identify areas of need / preventing possible financial loss
- Ensuring staff is adhering to all rules and protocols set forth by the company.
- Communicate effectively in a collaborative, complex and high performing team environment.
- Assist management in determining solutions to issues.
- Communicate with transportation, sales, and forwarding teams.
- Participate in the entire lifecycle of the vault operations including requirements, development, quality assurance, deployment, documentation, and support.
- Other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the precious metals industry preferred.
- Knowledgeable in COMEX rules is a plus.
- Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to remain flexible during times of change and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly, efficiently, and positively.
- Must be able to learn, understand and apply technology.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, and proactively contribute to project and team success.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to build and maintain client relationships at all business levels.

Physical requirements/Working conditions:
- Climate controlled environment
- May have responsibilities after normal business hours and/or weekends.
- Work in areas within a vault with little or no exposure to outside light.
Essential Functions/Job Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain a stooped or squatting position for several minutes to perform the sorting function.
- Ability to walk continuously between bins, vaults, booths, counters.
- Ability to stand on concrete floor approximately 80 percent of shift.
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with co-workers and customers, and to read receipts, manifests, and reports.
- Ability to sign and record numbers by hand and to make entries on records and prepare reports.
- Ability to count, add, subtract, and balance columns of numbers.
As part of the qualification process for the Precious Metals Vault Assistant Supervisor position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required. This evaluation requires successful completion of testing in the below areas.

1. Horizontally transfer boxes of precious metals utilizing a manual pallet jack with a force up to 60 lbs for a distance up to 70 feet up to 4 times per day. Typically, a mechanical pallet jack is used.
