Summary About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Futures Command, Futures Integration Directorate (FID), Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield. Responsibilities Serves as Architecture Interoperability Specialist and is the authority and advisor concerning development, implementation, modification, and management of long and short-range planning of architecture data strategies, policies, and priorities. Directs and controls performance requirements and methodologies for conducting valid user tests and architecture data certifications to support operational architecture (OA) validation and decision-making. Represents AIMD on Joint/Army architecture boards, advisory groups, Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) and working groups to provide oversight, guidance and direction relating to Army architectures. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) development, implementation, modification, and management of long and short-range planning of architecture data strategies, goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; AND 2) software development, data management, and information technology (IT) infrastructure. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Influencing/Negotiating Performance Management Program Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
