Andretti Indoor Karting & Games (AIKG) is a rapidly growing Family Entertainment company. Our nine AIKG locations feature high-speed, high-tech indoor Karting on multilevel tracks, multi-player immersive Virtual Reality Simulators, Arcade fun, and amazing restaurants & event spaces featuring scratch cocktails and culinary creations crafted in our kitchens. With locations in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Texas, as well as Corporate Support offices in Orlando and Atlanta, we’re seeking a specialized attorney to help drive our continued success.

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Attorney with expertise in Construction Law, Commercial Real Estate Transactions, and Personal Injury Claims to join our corporate legal team. This position will support AIKG’s growth by providing legal guidance and services in all areas of construction law, contract negotiation, real estate transactions, compliance, and personal injury matters. You’ll ensure that our construction projects and operations are legally sound, while also managing risk associated with personal injury and liability waivers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, real estate agreements, and related documents. 

– Ensure compliance with construction laws, building codes, safety regulations, and commercial real estate laws. 

– Advise management on risk management, real estate transactions, financing structures, dispute resolution, and contractual obligations. 

– Collaborate with architects, contractors, project managers, and real estate professionals to manage legal aspects of new developments and renovations. 

– Assist in resolving construction and real estate disputes, including claims, liens, and litigation support. 

– Oversee personal injury claims and lawsuits, including management of liability waivers and ensuring protection from potential claims. 

– Provide legal guidance on personal injury claims and lawsuits, handle claim resolutions, and work with insurance teams to manage risk. 

– Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes affecting the construction, real estate, and entertainment industries. 

 

Qualifications:

– Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. 

– Active Florida bar membership in good standing, or the ability to become an authorized house counsel. 

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction law, with expertise in contracts and dispute resolution. 

– Proven experience as a commercial real estate transactional lawyer, including knowledge of real estate finance, property acquisitions, leases, and development agreements. 

– Experience with personal injury and liability law, particularly within the entertainment or sports industries, is a significant advantage. 

– Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. 

– Experience working with commercial real estate or entertainment facilities is a plus.

Location

This position is based at our Corporate Office in Orlando but will require occasional travel to AIKG locations as needed.
