Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 4 for our Food Service partnership with Graceland University located in Lamoni, Iowa. Graceland is a beautiful, historic campus that was founded in 1895 and sits amid the rolling countryside of Southern Iowa.

Sodexo manages all food services on campus with approximately 35 employees, in a partnership of over 20 years. Retail locations include our Grilled and SubHub concepts located in the Student Union and a newly renovated Resident Dining Hall. This position will lead the team and provide management oversight for all Resident Dining, retail outlets, catering (including Presidential) and Summer Conferences.

The successful candidate will:

have oversight of day-to-day operations;

deliver high quality food service;

achieve company and client financial targets and goals;

develop and maintain client and customer relationships;

develop strategic plans;

create a positive environment;and/or

ensure Sodexo standards are met.

have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or

demonstrate working knowledge of DRIVE or other food management systems, Kronos or similar time management programs, The Market Connection (TMC) or other purchasing platforms, Financial Software including E=Vision and possesses proficient computer skills and report management experience.
