Requisition Summary
We are looking for an infrastructure engineer who is detail-oriented, proficient with technologies and hardware, and who flourishes in high-pressure environments. Infrastructure engineers generally work with numerous software programs, clients, and other technical staff, and often need to do field analysis and maintenance. Their responsibilities include upgrading and improving operating environments, creating repair strategies, and providing technical support and training for users.
Successful infrastructural engineers should have good communication and collaboration skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, and extensive knowledge of data laws. Ideal candidates will also have experience in project management and giving professional presentations.
This position is located in downtown Bellevue, WA at the PACCAR Corporate building.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Installing, maintaining, and monitoring operating environments.
Ensuring operating environments stay safe and secure.
Responding effectively and speedily to any problems.
Updating software and hardware where necessary.
Documenting all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response.
Software release / deployment management.
Install web and local client applications.
Support for SOX related activities and reports.
Compile existing Visual Studio 2019 solutions with updated SDK as required.
Providing training and support.
In-depth understanding of DevOps that includes configuring build agents and build pipelines.
Qualifications
5 years of professional experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, or in a similar role.
In-depth understanding of DevOps that includes configuring build agents and build pipelines.
Proficient in PowerShell and YAML.
Proficient in GitHub actions and workflows.
Solid understanding on network protocols that includes troubleshooting network issues.
Familiarity with distributed application architecture that includes on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server administration console, security, logins, users, permissions, backup and restore.
Experience with troubleshooting performance bottlenecks.
Must know how to use database systems management software, enterprise resource planning software, and web platform development software.
Ability to understand technical documentation / attention to detail.
Advanced organizational skills.
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required.
