HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. This position assists with managing recruitment processes, employee relations, regulatory compliance, benefits administration, onboarding, and training and development for employees at all levels of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Full life cycle recruitment for new team members to include entry level production as well as exempt-professional technical staff
Reviews resumes, screens applicants, and interviews candidates to fill each position with the best qualified candidate while complying with compensation guidelines
Supervise attendance and tardiness of all hourly employees, issue employee reprimands to managers as needed
Administer intern program to include attending job fairs
Provide leadership and guidance to site employees and work closely with site HR Manager to ensure consistency with the execution of HR policies, programs, and procedures
Provide guidance support, and counsel management team on employee relations issues
Work with site HR Manager on complex issues
Ensure compliance with Federal and State Employment laws
Supports organizational development initiatives, performance management, training and development and employee engagement
Visit other internal plant locations to maintain visibility and accessibility to all employees
Respond to inquiries by employees regarding policies, procedures, and programs
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulation and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Assist with employee wellness initiatives for site and drive through activities, education and awareness
Provide guidance to employees on benefit programs; assist with open enrollment activities
Working knowledge of workers compensation and OSHA
Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Human resources, business or other related field
3 years of Human Resource Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Proven relationship and trust builder
Proven track record of dealing with employee issues in a professional and non-threatening manner, all while building trust and a rapport with the team
Effective communication skills both verbal and non-verbal are extremely important and will be a chief factor in choosing our best candidate for this role
