As part of the newly created Risk Data and Technology transformation team of the Enterprise Risk Management function, you will be part of a team responsible for: Establishing, maintaining, and
communicating the Enterprise Risk Data and Tech Transformation Management data strategy; Creating and delivering technology implementation roadmaps, ensuring that both business and regulatory
requirements are met; and driving implementation and adoption of consistent data management and quality standards and capabilities to support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework adoption
across the enterprise and relevant Businesses / Functions / Regions.
This role sits within the infrastructure pillar of the Risk Data & Technology transformation organization, focused on the buildout of the foundational architecture to support our transformation journey.
The focus will be to design and implement target state infrastructure and data flows to support our Enterprise risk functions. In addition, the role is required to expand and strengthen governance across
the systems, aligning to new data management policies.
Critical systems managed within this team include:
Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL): The Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) infrastructure captures consistent, accurate, and timely data from Risk Categories and ERM Risk Pillars.
The Data Governance Sr Business Lead Analyst role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate definition and execution of Risk requirements according to the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and Standard (CDGS). The role reports into the Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) Lead in Enterprise Risk Management’s Data & Technology.
The Data Governance Sr Lead Analyst position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring that prioritized data quality issues are defined and remediated, that data requirements and controls are implemented, and that focus remains on the scope and commitments of each phase of the Risk Consent Order Data Quality Plans to ensure proof of Risk Reduction. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of risk processes, systems and reporting, the Citi Data Operating Model, and a solid conceptual/practical grounding in Enterprise Risk Management. Requires excellent data analysis skills, in addition to strong presentation / communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Responsibilities:
Directs key initiatives within the business through the collection, analysis, review, reporting, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements.
Manages resource allocation of work on key projects/initiatives.
Deals with complex and highly variable issues with substantial potential business impact.
Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations.
Advises or coach to new or lower-level personnel in the business processes and procedures of area supported.
Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
Influences strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services that have direct impact on the business.
Utilizes excellent communication skills required to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties.
Requires complex judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
In-depth analysis with interpretive thinking required.
Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations.
Manages staff resource and allocation of work within the team/project.
Potentially Interact with regulators.
Leads enterprise-wide working group meetings on performance metrics.
Captures requirements, develop delivery plans and manage the entire lifecycle of metrics and report production.
Develops SLAs, initiate and lead process reengineering to continually drive efficiencies across the management information process.
Additional responsibilities may also include senior relationship management, coordinate communications multiple workstreams and organizations.
Primary interface for enterprise level, operational and executive management reporting design, and delivery.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup’s clients and its assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
10 years’ experience in a related role.
At least 5 years of experience in banking and financial services industry, information technology, and data governance. Experience includes supporting data quality initiatives, aligning business processes with data, implementing technology solutions, supporting data standards/policies, and data-related issue management and remediation efforts.
Subject matter expert in more than one related data management area.
Experience with data management processes, tools, and applications, including process mapping and lineage toolsets.
Strong knowledge of structured/unstructured databases, data modeling, data management, rapid/iterative development methodologies, and data governance tools.
Proficiency in diagramming & Presentation tools required.
Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) issues in a clear and timely manner to build trusting partnership a wide variety of audiences and stakeholders.
Self-motivated, highly focused, detail oriented as well as a team player with high energy levels and the desire to learn and progress within the company.
Knowledge of business analysis procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas. · Demonstrated project management expertise.
Substantial experience in a senior leadership role.
Advanced understanding of technology and industry trends and infrastructure platforms.
Client focused, able to operate as partner to senior business stakeholders.
Communicates effectively, develops, and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects in the stream simultaneously.
