The Corporate Networking organization within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) designs, deploys, operates, and supports employee connectivity solutions and services for Oracle. We manage Corporate Offices, On-Prem Data Centers, wired/wireless networks, WAN connectivity, and related services such as VPN and IDS/IPS.

We are looking for a network and security analyst with a strong technical background to help us transform the corporate network. As a Network analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery and operation of critical employee connectivity services. You will work with peers, management, and project managers to deliver solutions, maintain network services, and provide escalation support for the Operations team. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment that requires agility and the drive to deliver. You should be comfortable taking on new challenges that develop your skills. You should be able to travel to complete network hardware installations and perform other hands-on work at regional offices.

Responsibilities

Deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, firewalls, load balancers, switches, and other hardware

Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems

Work within an Agile team to deliver network and security solutions

Transition solutions successfully into Network Operations

Identify opportunities to automate responses to common operational problems and requests

Ensure compliance, configuration and data quality levels are maintained

Work with internal stakeholders

Respond to escalations to identify the root cause of an outage and coordinate the corrective action in line with existing procedures and practices

Provide on-call support services as needed

Document work instructions or procedures

Travel to complete hands-on tasks at different office locations globally

Provide in person support at primary office location

Effectively communicate with people on both a technical and non-technical level

Ability to work with a global, remote workforce

Self-motivated professional with the ability to work in a pressured production environment while not compromising on the quality of the service provided

Minimum Qualifications:

This position will work onsite in Seattle-WA or Broomfield-CO or Nashville-TN.

This position will require extensive business travel (75%) to Oracle offices mainly within US/Canada.

Knowledge in network and network security technologies, including:

Protocols such as TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, SSL

Routers and switches such as Cisco Nexus, Juniper MX, and Arista

Firewalls such as Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto

Load balancers such as F5

Knowledge of routing and switching

Demonstrated ability to quickly troubleshoot technical problems to root cause to restore service

Experience in at least one enterprise infrastructure area

Preferred Qualifications:

CCNA / CCNP Security OR Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) or equivalent

Practical experience developing and running scripts or other automation technologies

Technical understanding and practical application of network protocols and technology

VPN – IPSEC and SSL

Firewalls and load balancers, security policy management

Network / Security monitoring tools such as: SNMP, MTRG, Prometheus and Grafana etc.

Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure and/or GCP (including Networking)

Technical understanding and practical application of security support

Technical understanding and practical application of DevOps

Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery & Deployment Tools

Network as Code strategy

Familiarity of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS infrastructure/environments

Integration technologies (APIs)

Scripting experience in Ansible, Python, Terraform, and others

US: Hiring Range: from $30.29 to $60.63 per hour; from $63,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
