Upholsters will build a quality product by following specific instruction sheets and utilizing proper upholstery techniques. Upholsterers are expected to be able to use a variety of tools, including staple guns, scissors, air drivers, hammers, and mallets to attach the cover to the frame.

Requirements

Inspect raw materials prior to performing operations to ensure proper quality standards and alert the supervisor to any substandard raw materials or prior operations
·
Using staple guns, scissors, air drivers, hammers, mallets, or other tools attach cover, mechanisms, and springs to frame parts according to specifications to achieve high quality appearance and comfort
·
Assemblers are required to correct any substandard, off-quality work that they produce
·
Maintenance on equipment is required at all times, as well as preventative maintenance
·
Maintain necessary skills to achieve 100% efficiency
·
Adhere to all company policies and promote safety in the workplace by following all company safety rules
·
Promote goodwill and a positive company image to fellow employees and the community
·
Maintain a clean workspace
·
Perform other duties as required by the supervisor
