Employment Specialist

Warren, Washington, Albany ARC

Our Supported Employment Program (SEMP) in Queensbury, NY, has a Full Time 35-hour Employment Specialist position available.

The schedule for this position is Monday Friday 8:30am- 4pm with evenings and weekends as needed. The rate of pay is $18.00 per hour.

This position will:
provide direct support to people seeking employment.
You will assist the people on your caseload to develop a resume,
conduct job searches, prepare for interviews,
and provide onsite job coaching to support the person in maintaining successful employment in the community.

Our Employment Specialists are:
required to be 18 years of age and
have a valid drivers license that meets WWAARC insurability standards.
Required to secure and maintain all certifications and training required by WWAARC. This includes but is not limited to, 1st Aid & CPR, and Decision Driving.
Preferred masters degree or bachelors degree in human services/business or related field
and 1-year experience working with people with intellectual and other development disabilities OR
a combination of education and 2 yrs. experience, which in the judgment of the agency, is equivalent to these standards.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
