Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cost Management/Estimating Specialist with expertise in managing costs for medium to large-scale federal construction projects, specifically within the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) trades. This position is fully-remote within a fast-growing company offering consistent opportunities for development. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the Mechanical trade, with additional understanding of the Electrical trade being beneficial. A Bachelors or higher degree in a construction-related discipline or equivalent field experience is required.

Hard Skills

Bachelors or higher degree in a construction-related discipline

5 years of cost management or related experience on medium to large-scale construction projects

Consulting or owners representative experience

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

Working knowledge of proprietary government estimating software/programs such as MII, SUCCESS, CostWorks, and PACES

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and organization skills

Effective planning, time management, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work in a team setting with minimal supervision

Experience in writing business documents, such as reports, detailed letters, and emails

Attention to detail and pride in the quality of work

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
