Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, VA. Are you imaginative and resourceful, using your 3D modeling skills in Autodesk Inventor / SolidWorks to simulate new designs. Are you someone who values both self-reliance and collaboration within a team? Your hands-on experience in U.S. Naval ships and mechanical design makes you stand out in this role.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Includes:

Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

Design products or systems in support of facilities infrastructure, research, or maintenance requirements.

Coordinate, troubleshoot, and approve installation activities as inspection services to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related scientific field and at least 3 years of full-time professional experience working as a Mechanical Engineer.

Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) for design data processing and for turning the design into a product.

Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
