How will you make an impact in this role?

The Enterprise Identity (EID) team creates and manages authentication, authorization, and identity management experiences and capabilities for all digital experiences at American Express – including americanexpress.com and the Amex Mobile app. Our mission is to enable seamless customer experiences across American Express while maintaining the highest levels of trust and security.

A Product Manager on the Enterprise Identity team owns the vision, strategy, and outcomes for one of our many product areas – be it authentication experiences, trusted device management, access management, or another vertical in our portfolio. They…

Build, communicate, and refine product roadmaps and backlogs

Work day-to-day with key business partners and engineering to define and plan solutions that balance scope, schedule, and resource constraints

Coordinate with other Enterprise Identity Product Managers to delivery seamless integrated Identity solutions

Monitor industry trends to make sure we adopt the best tools and methods available to balance security and user friction

Obsess over the details of customer experience

Partner with Product teams across American Express to understand their needs, and to help them use our Identity products in their digital experiences

Support the colleagues and partners who rely on our Identity experiences

Counsel with our partners in Fraud, Risk, Privacy, and Compliance to ensure we get the details right

Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement with candid, constructive feedback to both peers and leaders

Minimum Qualifications

5 years product management or software delivery experience

Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills; comfortable tackling complex problems and breaking these down into manageable pieces

Knowledgeable about software architecture and system design principles

Familiarity with industry trends in information technology and software delivery practices

Adept at interpreting data to derive meaningful business insights

Excellent time management: experience with prioritizing multiple requests and managing tight deadlines

Superb product and program management skills, including product planning, issue tracking, and delivery

Excel at Technical Details – designing content, technical product documentation, and technical writing skills or similar experience will be a plus for this role

Highly motivated with strong sense of accountability, initiative, and a “can-do” attitude

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Digital Identity, Authentication, Information Security, Fraud/Risk, or Access Management domains

Experience in payments, finance or banking

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
