This role is US based and candidate will need US citizenship.
As a Senior Software Engineer for Open Clinical Engineering, you will join the API development team that is responsible for advancing the platform in addition to the managing of API traffic and maintaining the stability and performance of Oracle FHIR APIs across multiple cloud regions. The Oracle FHIR APIs are a set of APIs based on industry definitions by HL7® (Health Level 7 International) utilizing the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) and Substitutable Medical Applications Reusable Technology (SMART®) standards. These APIs allow system integrations with the Oracle database or web-based applications to be integrated with and launched from within Oracle’s PowerChart® electronic medical record application.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to handle driving development projects of increased complexity across the platform. This can include but is not limited to implementing designs, discussion with internal and external stakeholders, and providing oversight to junior engineers on the team.
Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of software engineering work experience.
Experience with one or more preferred programming languages, but not limited to: Java, C#, C, Javascript, Ruby or PHP.
Experience with building web services.
Development experience with RESTful API design.
Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to multiple stakeholders and audience types.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative and agile environment.
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc)
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with observability tools like Splunk and New Relic.
Experience with API management products.
Experience with cloud-based platforms.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
