Subcontract Administrator – GSCM – Acquisition

You will be the Subcontract Administrator for the Lexington, KY area and must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Subcontract Administrator embedded with a SOF GLSS Program Team, your duties will include:
• Developing the Terms and Conditions flow for SOF and Managing the organizations T&C process.
• Work through Negotiating Terms and Conditions with the Supplier(s) and related SME’s on program.
• Supporting Negotiations with Buyers/SCA’s and suppliers to close timely on open actions.
• Managing basic and on occasion complex subcontracts, including those with Spec/SOW(Statement of Work) driven requirements, and other specific procurements, as required.
• Preparing and releasing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), receiving, analyzing, and evaluating proposals, negotiating subcontract prices, terms, and conditions, selecting and/or recommending subcontractors, conducting “Best Value” Competitions, documenting agreements, administering resulting subcontracts / POs, including subcontract / PO closeout.
• Managing supplier relationships and supplier performance to achieve program and customer requirements and goals for Sales, Orders, and Profit.

Lexington, is in the heart of the Bluegrass and is the second-largest city in Kentucky, known as the “Horse Capital of the World”. Louisville is about a 90 minute drive to the east. Cincinnati, Ohio is about 2 hours to the north. Indianapolis, Indiana is about 3 hours to the Northwest. Nashville, TN is about 4 hours Southwest.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
1 year experience in Government procurements/Acquisitions
Ability to conduct data analysis or research and/or understanding of negotiations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated critical thinking / problem solving abilities
Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Power Point, Word, Excel)
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
Strong organizational skills
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
Working knowledge of standard US Department of Defense contract types
SAP Systems Experience
Ability to establish new suppliers and manage supplier performance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
