JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Title: Executive Director Reports to: President
Collaborates with: AAW President and Board of Directors About Access
Ability Wisconsin (AAW): AAW is seeking its first Executive Director to
lead the expansion of our impact across all 72 Wisconsin counties. The
Executive Director will cultivate partnerships, secure funding, and grow
our volunteer network, building on a decade of success. Key Challenges:
Establishing new partnerships in central and northern Wisconsin.
Developing resources for individuals with mobility challenges to access
the outdoors. Securing grants, donations, and sponsorships for equipment
acquisition and maintenance. Establishing a permanent headquarters.
Recruiting and retaining volunteers. Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the President and Board to develop strategic plans.
Expand partnerships with organizations across Wisconsin. Support network
partners to ensure they have necessary resources. Engage all donors
(individuals, foundations, and corporations), ensuring proper
stewardship. Secure funding through program gifts, endowments, and
grants, coordinating with grant writers. Ensure compliance with legal
and ethical standards. Oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting in
coordination with AAWs tax and accounting teams. Manage staff and
volunteer performance to ensure organizational growth. Maintain records
for grant activities, client surveys, and program achievements. Enhance
educational outreach and grant-making when funding is available.
Organize public events in Iowa/Dane Counties. Recognize and thank donors
and partners to foster future support. Coordinate trailer scheduling,
delivery, and seek donations at events. Recruit volunteers and partners
to assist with trailer transportation. Improve processes for trailer
usage and maintenance. Work with educators to develop educational
materials and support revenue generation. Attend events likely to yield
significant donations and coordinate Board attendance at key
opportunities. Maintain raffle licenses and oversee government reporting
for raffles. Collaborate with the Executive Board to sustain
sponsorships and exhibit spaces. Identify opportunities to increase net
income through raffles, grants, and other fundraising. Manage tech and
information systems, including the website and online forms for
volunteers and donors. Post timely content on social media and
contribute to AAWs online magazine. Maintain technology systems and
take on additional responsibilities aligned with AAWs mission.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required qualifications:
Passion for AAWs mission, team player, and self-motivated. Proven
success in fundraising with diverse partners. Bachelors degree and 5-7
years of management experience, including planning, budgeting, and staff
supervision. Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends. Strong
communication skills, ability to navigate diverse environments, and
proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Drive,
