Cub Rochester East is looking for dedicated experienced people leader for Assistant Deli Manager. As an Assistant Deli Manager you will assist in managing the deli department to promote sales, achieves profit margins, labor goals and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates.NATURE AND SCOPEEmphasis in this position is assisting the Deli Manager in the coordination and direction of daily production, merchandising, stock and display activity in order to ensure consistent quantity, quality, freshness of deli product to maintain maximum sales and profit and customer service. Primary challenge is to positively effective department labor and productivity factors through efficient task organization and delegation. This position is responsible for providing effective training, development and work direction for department associates and requires the ability to encourage individual and group effort toward department objectives. This position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous service, knowledge of food preparation procedures, food safety regulations, judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, moderate to heavy lifting, walking, order processing tools, box cutter, operation of deli equipment, exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces. Decision-making is collaborative with Deli Manager. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction are provided by the Deli Manager or person in chargeESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS1.
