Job Description

We are a small accounting firm seeking an intermediate accountant to join our team. The individual will assist with returns and audits during tax season and manage general accounting and payroll needs for clients year-round. The role is designed for someone with an accounting experience who is looking to grow and eventually become a Partner in the firm. Responsibilities include handling 50-60 customers/accounts annually, working 50-60 hours plus during tax season, processing tax returns, managing payroll for customers, and providing audit and tax services.

Hard Skills

Bachelors Degree in Accounting

Experience utilizing Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, adhoc reporting, and spreadsheets)

Soft Skills

Ability to learn and adapt

Strong organizational skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Barrington, Illinois.

Work Environment

Small team of 12 individuals handling all forms of customers. The firm is tight-knit and committed to training on areas candidates are eager to learn. The team is very busy leading up to the April 18th deadline, after which the workload lightens and employees can utilize their flex time.
