JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Altoona, invites candidates for the job of Part-Time Assistant Wrestling Coach. Penn State Altoona is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). Reports to the head coach and is responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of the Mens and Womens Wrestling program. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible opening.
Job DutiesDuties include, but will not be limited to:
Competition coaching
Recruitment of student athletes
Practice sessions
Assisting with team fundraising
Team travel.
Requirements and Qualifications
A demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, and develop Division III student-athletes; knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the sport is necessary.
Must possess a commitment to high academic standards, and the NCAA Division III philosophy.
A successful candidate will have a reputation for integrity.
Applicants must be well versed in the sport and have 1-2 years of previous coaching experience.
Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.
Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid US drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
