Job purpose
This position is responsible for the physical coordination and monitoring of all Precious Metal requirements for the division.
Principle accountabilities
Employee will comply with all Johnson Matthey Hazardous Waste procedures and local, state and federal regulatory requirements. Employee responsible for loading and unloading, handling, storing and shipping hazardous materials. Responsibilities may include the signing of manifests which requires DOT HazMat Certification (provided)
Record and document all precious metal transactions and maintain accurate record of precious metal receipts, and transfers. Precisely measure and transport hazardous precious metal liquid to both Batching departments as well as Devon 1.
Coordinate PGM spent material shipments and empty PGM container returns to Refining Division. Schedule transfer shipments to WD II facility.
Responsible for loading, unloading, handling, storing, and shipping of hazardous waste.
Responsible for identifying, weighing, labeling, recording all PGM scrap from the site. As well as organizing the PGM scrap cage for optimal space before scrap can be shipped out.
Use of pallet jacks required, occasional weekends on-call and OT required.
Pump high value Pt from drums they are received into the totes we use to dispense the metal on site.
Keep the Strong-room and vaults clean and organized so it is clear on the PGM on hand.
Order and manage a supply of critical inventory items for Production, Material Control, and Batching.
Requirements for the role:
High school diploma required. Post-secondary education desired.
Industrial experience and awareness of manufacturing procedures, operations, and/or planning required.
Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures is highly desired.
Experience with automated inventory control, shipping and scanning systems desired
