Overview
The Clinical Lab Site Lead is responsible for patient care, specimen processing, technical and procedural operations, and laboratory analyses. The Clinical Lab Site Lead will serve as a primary contact for handling customer/patient concerns, taking immediate action when necessary, and communicates follow up to other members of the team.
Schedule: Full-Time, M-F 8a to 4p, with rotating weekends and holidays, Benefits Eligible

Responsibilities
Responsible for researching, developing, and implementing new or improved procedures and instrumentation; performing quality control, quality improvement, regulatory compliance tasks, maintaining appropriate supply inventory, daily operations, and employee schedules, training, and orientation.
Demonstrates knowledge of and upholds applicable laws and regulations related to position. Maintains knowledge of techniques, procedures, and protocols, lab-wide and within lab section. Reviews and acknowledges procedures as required.
Maintains a safe environment. Wears appropriate personal protective equipment as designated by lab area. Reports spills and hazardous situations immediately and acts appropriately. Follows established guidelines for disclosure of patient information.
In Lab Testing Areas (non-waived testing): Fulfills the role of the CLIA “General Supervisor” for High Complexity testing and “Technical Consultant” for Moderate Complexity testing.
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
Bachelors degree in medical laboratory science; or a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution, required.
Site Leads who do not perform testing (QA oversight, CPA, phlebotomy, etc.) Associates degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory technology.
Certifications: American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification, preferred.
Skills:
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Effective organizational and communication skills.
Strong computer skills to produce reports and graphs as needed. Demonstrates discipline-specific technical skills.
