Compensation Amount: 15.00 USD Hourly Job Summary: Rental shop is a fun, fast paced environment in which staff is in direct contact with guests throughout an entire shift. Rental Shop Attendants are responsible for fitting and adjusting skis, snowboards, bindings and boots and other snow sports equipment. Employees must work as a team to provide each guest with a friendly, fast and easy experience to get them through the rental shop and out on the slopes as quickly as possible. Job Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist guests in all aspects of rental experience including set up of ski and snowboard rental equipment, filling out rental forms, adjusting equipment and answering questions. Maintain an efficient, clean and safe rental shop at all times. Prevent internal and external theft at all times. Maintain rental fleet and inventory including boots, skis, snowboards, poles, and snowshoes. Assist in testing skis and snowboards. Assist in tracking equipment and inventory, check in and check out processes. Complete all data input and paperwork organization daily. Clean, organize, and maintain equipment and rental facilities at all times Assist with base area snow removal Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND KNOWEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Customer Services experienced preferred. Knowledge of winter snow sport equipment is preferred Ability to pass Rossignol training and certification program Basic mathematic skill. Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem solve. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Reading and writing work-related documents in English. Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English. Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment. Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties. EQUIPMENT USED Ski/snowboard equipment Computer Various basic tools including (but not limited to) screw drivers, files, waxing irons, etc. Giants Ridge managed by Guest Services is hiring for our 2024-25 winter season! While working in our rental shop you will be responsible for fitting guests with rental equipment, advising them on proper use and care of equipment and monitoring the return of equipment.
