Architectural Lighting Designer II

Job Description

Our client is a global full-service engineering firm that is looking to add a Lighting Designer to their California practice. Your responsibilities will include:

System Design: Develop trade-specific system designs, including layout and calculations using appropriate software, and ensure coordination with architectural and engineering designs, both internal and external.

Field Inspections: Conduct site inspections to assess existing conditions and coordinate new work.

Design Development: Create designs from concept through construction administration under the guidance of senior designers.

Project Support: Assist in the design of lighting systems for new installations, retrofits, replacements, and upgrades across various projects and types.

Standards Adherence: Learn and adhere to drawing organization and company standards.

Quality Assurance: Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of your work assignments.

Skills and Requirements

– Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Architectural Engineering

– 2 years experience with lighting design for commercial projects

– Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit

– Basic working knowledge of AGI Calculation Software, Photoshop, InDesign, and Sketch Up null
