Here, you will make an impact by:Maintaining the design of commercialized dental products within the Dental Solutions Business Group in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirementsCollaborating with cross-functional global teams composed of members from manufacturing, quality, regulatory, application engineering, business, clinical, and multiple other functions to maintain product continuityUtilizing available resources and experts to drive impactful product design changes to existing commercialized projects to maximize customer satisfaction and promote business successLeading, executing, and overseeing change management as it relates to product design changes driven by product performance, process and quality improvement, supply changes, regulatory requirements, and cost reduction through Product & Process Understanding (PPU) effortsIntegrating new products into sustained operations by consulting with New Project Introduction (NPI) teams during Scale Up through design ownership transferSupporting day-to-day production needs for manufacturing plant in Irvine, CAYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors Degree or higher AND three (3) years of combined experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environmentHigh School Diploma/GED from AND seven (7) years of combined experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environmentIn addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:Familiarity with Medical Device Change Management ProceduresAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Minimum three (3) years of experience in product and/or manufacturing experience in the medical device industry and/or medical device Quality Management Systems (QMS)Knowledge and experience with currently marketed dental products (composite restorat ves, adhesives, abrasives, cements, etc.)Experience with the effective execution of change management, root cause analysis, issue resolution and/or managing corrective and preventative actionsExperience utilizing project management techniques to lead cross functional teams in projects that drive improvementExperience collaborating with laboratory, quality and/or manufacturing colleagues in other regions of the worldExperience with test method development, material property data collection and/or setting specifications and translating into product requirementsStatistical knowledge and practice [e.g., Design of Experiments (DOE), sampling, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Product & Process Understanding (PPU), Lean Six Sigma, etc.]Work location: Onsite: 3M Center, Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
