We have an exciting opportunity for a Fall 2024 – DOD SkillBridge Program Intern – Project Scheduler to join the team with our Engineering Division.

This is a temporary role with a duration of 27 weeks

Do you want to work onsite at NASA in Houston with a dynamic team to build out the next generation spacecraft integration and test facility? If so, this opportunity may be for you. Our company has teamed up with the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program to provide career opportunities in:

Gateway Command & Data Handling Project Scheduler, NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston,Texas

Collaborate with the C&DH teams

Get experience with SmartSheet and MS Project Scheduling Tools

Understand the concepts of Constraints, Critical Path Method, resource allocations and work breakdown structure

Perform Scheduling oversight and impact assessments

Learn to plan, design and implement scheduling from a variety of input sources

Coordinate and resolve competing priorities

Effectively communicate with internal and external customers

Coordinate with external organizations to perform schedule remediation

Grow communication skills with administrative staff, engineers, and various levels of management

Perform other duties as required

NOTE: SkillBridge interns will not be eligible for any compensation during their internship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Upon successful completion of this internship, you will be well prepared and encouraged to apply for open positions listed on our careers page.

Heres What Youll Need:

To have served at least 180 days in any of the U.S. Armed Forces

To be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any of the U.S. Armed Forces (you may startyour application before the 180 days)

Must be on track to receive an Honorable Discharge

Must have taken any service TAPS/TGPS

Must have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months

Must have command approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program

Ideally, youll have:

Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel knowledge

Some background scheduling but not required

Good written and verbal communication skills

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance following an established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
