To continue to meet our customer-s mission critical needs, PDC is seeking anApplications Engineerto join our respected and valued team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Business Unit Team in designing, maintaining, and validating firmware for PDC-s industry-leading portfolio of Power Distribution, Power Generation and Motor Control products. Your expertise will be vital in providing technical support to customers, developing new product ideas, supporting product roadmaps and working with the Business Unit Team and Engineering Teams in responding to customer proposals.
This role is 100% on-site in our Bohemia, NY office.
The salary range for this role is $70,000-$125,000.

Essential Functions:
Engage with Sales and Business Unit teams to provide pre-sale and post-sales technical support for all product lines with a primary focus on Power Distribution, Power Generation, Motion Control, including relevant new technologies.
Support New Product Development from the design phase through mass production.
Develop application expertise in target markets for new product development.
Understand Customers- requirements and participate in new product definition.
Evaluate technical aspects of competitor-s products and develop strategies to deal with competitive issues.
Provide technical training on new products and technologies to customers and sales personnel.
Serve as technical liaison between the customer, product managers and manufacturing teams. Involves learning new technologies to support the technical requirements of new products.
Become subject matter expert, Power Distribution, Power Generation and Motor Control products.
Develop and Maintain Product documentation (data briefs, data sheets, white papers, application notes).
Answer technical questions in a timely fashion and resolve technical objections.
Systematically funnel customer data to the business unit teams and marketing for inclusion in product roadmaps.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent proactive problem-solving experience with demonstrated analytical skills.
Ability to work with multi-functional teams is essential.
Ability to lead teams to formulate plans and execute them.
Effective oral and written communication skills with a focused attention to detail
Flexibility to communicate with different time zones as needed.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Educational / Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor-s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
4 years relevant work experience preferred.
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills to peers and senior management.
Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
