Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) (https://positions.paylocity.com/PositionManagement/wizard/2033524) seeks a talentedDirector of Equity and Inclusionto contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers. TheDirector of Equity and Inclusionwill lead the development and implementation of proactive diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives for the Department of Children and Family Services Children’s Mental Health and School-Based Initiatives Divisions to promote equity in outcomes for the children, families, and adults served. This role will be responsible for provision of training, consultation, and technical support around culturally responsive, equity-focused care for Onondaga County children’s system of care, including the Department of Children and Family Services and community stakeholders, to promote equity in outcomes for the children and families served. This role will engage with leadership at all levels to reach program goals that incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts. Key partners include internal and external school-based partners, mental health professionals, and other community stakeholders

In this role, you will:
Design, coordinate and/ or deliver ongoing training and professional development in areas related to cultural responsiveness and equity in outcomes to children and adult systems of care.
Develop, implement, and drive a data-driven strategic plan to improve equity in mental health and other outcomes.
Build and sustain community partnerships to support delivery of strategic plan through the provision of technical assistance.
Support the development and implementation of program policies, practices and procedures that reflect a commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity (for staff and individuals to be served) in collaboration with community stakeholders.
Develop and implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion subcommittee of the Community Services Board.
Collect, analyze and report out data relating to diversity and equity initiatives to DCFS, and others as defined by DCFS stakeholders.
Serve as a resource to DCFS to support an equity and inclusion perspective on children and adult systems of care data analysis.
Provide multiple Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training opportunities to community providers.
Increase outreach to students of color in the human services industry to create more opportunities to serve within the industry.
Create a plan to expand opportunities to recruit, retain and advance professionals of color in mental health, SUD and DD service areas.
Use data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Identify ways in which division can partner with community stakeholders, grassroots organizations, credible messengers, etc. to improve outcomes for children and families.
Assess potential barriers and develop strategies focused on recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce for the systems of care, including the implementation of recruitment strategies that appeal to underrepresented applicant groups.
Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in HR, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or related field of study, or an equivalency of education and experience see CCSIs equivalency chart
5 years of experience in project management.
7 years of experience in leading and managing departments, organizational functions, and/or teams, and I would add DEI, Culture Competency, Equity, and/or HR as many DEI professionals come from an HR path)
3 years of experience in diversity, cultural competence, or equity initiatives.
At least 3 years of experience in diversity, cultural competence, or equity initiatives.
Certified Diversity Professional credentialing, or the ability to obtain credentialing within 1 year.
Ability to inspire a shared vision and foster collaboration.
Additional Requirements:
Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings: criminal, Statewide Central Register and driving record.
Respect the confidential nature of certain information from databases to ensure victim and suspect confidentiality. This position will require special authorization to certain juvenile databases and is required to abide by the specific procedures and policies by both New York State and federal regulations.
Database management and data exporting experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of Performance Measures and Program Evaluation.

$79,500 to $81,500
