Brief Description of Duties:
SUNY Morrisville seeks candidates for the full-time position of Head Softball Coach. Coaching duties include management of the colleges NCAA Division III Softball team including recruitment and retention of team members, practice and game preparation, scheduling, and travel needs.
SUNY Morrisville competes in the State University of New York Athletic Conference. SUNY Morrisville is seeking candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to providing leadership in building equitable, diverse, and inclusive environments.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Recruitment and retention of team members
Practice and game preparation
Scheduling
Travel management
Hiring and supervision of an assistant coach in the program
Secondary duty outside of coaching in the athletic department which will help with the day-to-day operations or game-day management for the department
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Strong knowledge and understanding of NCAA Softball rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Previous NCAA coaching experience
Familiarity with New York and regional recruiting
Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
