PROGRAM MANAGER – BEHAVIORAL PSYCHOLOGY

Overview

The Program Manager coordinates administrative processes for the Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) operations, oversees administrative functions for the Senior Vice President, Behavioral Psychology, and coordinates and manages communication between Behavioral Psychology programs. The incumbent is a strategic problem-solver who identifies and provides appropriate solution options to the Director, NBU Programs and the Senior Vice President, Behavioral Psychology. This position will also develop reports for NBU and department programs; assist in recruitment and application processes; oversee compliance, onboarding, and mentoring of staff; track data; and provide overall administrative support NBU and Senior Vice President, Behavioral Psychology.

Responsibilities

1. Assists in recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating administrative staff.

2. Manages and organizes department related activities, to include updating a timeline of activities and responsibilities for the team; accurate and timely preparation of department/program reports, spreadsheets, reference lists, reprint files, orientation handbooks, and data collection files; and developing, creating, and coordinating the production of program/department training manuals.

3. Implements efficient strategies to accomplish tasks, delegates when necessary, and tracks through to completion of activities. Identifies barriers and solutions to timely completion of activities.

4. Ensures up-to-date information is posted on department bulletin boards, the Kennedy Krieger Institute website, and intranet pages.

5. Assists Director, Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) Programs and Senior Vice President, Behavioral Psychology in drafting department communications.

6. Tracks and understands compliance process for all NBU employees to ensure they remain in compliance.

7. Manages updates of the NBU Policy and Procedure manuals.

8. Assists the Director, NBU Programs and Senior Vice President, Behavioral Psychology with special projects as needed. This may include, but is not limited to, preparing reports for the board, updating database systems, and assisting with updates to department systems, policies, and procedures.

9. Assesses needs and implementation of professional development activities and training.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors in business, communications, administrative studies, social services, or research administration required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience required, preferably in a research, social services, or medical setting.

USD $61,845.00

Maximum pay range

USD $109,392.00
