ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations

Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns

Clean and organized work area

Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position

Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership teams

Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization

Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies

Other duties as directed

BASIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Able to climb stairs, ladders and reach remote areas of equipment

Able to read and write (in English) data reports and log sheets regarding critical control points for production, quality and safety

Able to drive and operate a Bobcat/Uni-loader and Forklift

Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment

Able to deal with strong smells

Have the ability to make reasonable decisions pertaining to safety and quality attributes based on operational logs and reports

Have a safety conscious attitude towards your work and make use of all Personal Protective Equipment that is or may be required by the job

Must be able to work efficiently with minimum supervision

Strong team player

Salary/Grade: $18 – $20/hr $2 attendance bonus
