Production Tech Roles Near Chesterfield VA :

Job Duties :

Essential functions include the efficient operation of the specialty chemicals plant. Candidates will be working with powdered chemicals used in the polymer making process–Used in plastics in waste water treatment plants.

Candidate must be able to work at elevated heights and consistent movement between 4 levels of the facility.

They are also redoing the packaging room, so upon the start of this assignment they will simply be shadowing other operators, documenting processes; however rarelly doing any tasks on their own that arent basic.

Once trained, this position is responsible for the safe, and environmentally sound and efficient operation of the chemicals plants, which includes utilities, bulk storage and warehouse.

Must dump 10kilo bags and up into containers, utilize basic math skills and track and monitor plant data and follow procedures. Will climb ladders, must be willing to operate forklift, and other manual duties lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must stay current on operating procedures, emergency procedures, safety and policies.

Candidate must be able to use forklifts, industrial scales, Power tools, hand tools, and perform maintenance on equipment as needed.

Troubleshooting will be required for minor maintenance defects and some electrical experience would be preferred for their instrumentation.

Basic Qualifications

Previous Chemical experience is not necessarily required as they are open to both experienced and trainable candidates as they are flexible to hire entry level candidates with a desire to learn and be trained OR someone with packaging experience.

Shift & Pay :

Currently running 8 hour shifts

Rotate between them every 2 weeks. 2 weeks on 1st,

2 weeks on 2nd,

2 weeks on 3rd.

7-3, 3-11, 11-7 Monday-Friday

Pay is $20/hr. -$22/hr.
