Job Title: Travel NDT Level II Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified NDT Level II Inspector with certifications in PT(II) and VT(II) to join our team. Candidates must have documented qualifications/certifications to the Level II requirements for ASNTs SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition or later. Inspectors must pass written general theory and procedure-specific examinations, as well as practical exams demonstrating their ability to operate NDT equipment and analyze results. A visual acuity exam using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year is also required. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of continuous experience as a certified inspector in the applicable methods. Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry and qualifications in Safety Harness and Respirator use are essential.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Newport News, Virginia.

Work Environment

Work will be performed in a shipyard, the largest shipbuilding company in the world, stretching over 5 miles long. Located in Southeast Virginia, the environment is very hot and muggy during the summer and cool during the winter. All work will be performed on a Navy vessel or in a shop environment. Candidates must be able to work any shift: 1st shift (7am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (3:30-11pm), and 3rd shift (11pm-7am).
