Leader / Registered Nurse Critical Procedures – Outpatient Surgical Center – Full Time – Days

Provides leadership to a group of four or more staff. (i.e. RNs, MAs, CSRs, etc.) Performs leadership functions about 30% of the time and duties of a Registered Nurse Critical Procedure the remaining 70%. Performs duties of a Registered Nurse Critical Procedure in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. Supervises other nursing and support staff as appropriate.
Education:
Graduate from a school of nursing
Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
Licensures and Certifications:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test
Certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard of care, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Current BLS/ACLS
Skills and Experience:
Two (2) to three (3) years of nursing experience in a clinical environment
Demonstrated leadership ability
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Customer Service: Must meet or exceed customer service behaviors as outlined in the Henry Ford Hospital and Health Network Team Member Standards of Excellence
