The Oracle Database Developer Relations Team (DB DevRel) is a team of highly creative, innovative creators that bring Oracle Database products and services to life! We are part of the Database product development team and build technical content, demos/apps, videos, blogs, and share those on websites, social channels and developer conferences to encourage use of Database by developers. Our team is global, work collaboratively across all lines of business, and is responsible for all Database products.
Were looking for a UX/UI Designer to create compelling visuals for developers. This resource will play a significant role in defining the look and feel used across the Database organization. This is a position with tons of flexibility and leadership exposure with a diverse set of projects and freedom to flex your creativity. You will work across teams and content types, including Social, Marketing, Web and swag. If you enjoy working in an agile environment with a team that doesnt take themselves too seriously, then this is the right fit for you!

Responsibilities
To be considered for a UX/UI Software Developer position in the Oracle Database organization, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below.

Qualifications:
Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, User Experience Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Visual or Motion Design, Human Computer Interaction, or other relevant field by August 2025
Proven experience in design systems and mastering design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or Adobe XD
Ability to build ideas into visuals in a timely manner, from sketch to shipping design solutions
Passionate about your work, and able to simplify complex designs into a simple and clean visual
You love to learn fast, you are self-motivated and like working in a team of highly technical peers
Awareness of current and emerging design trends
Has a basic understanding of responsive design, HTML and CSS
Is detail-oriented, collaborative and willing to contribute to brainstorming sessions
Proven experience designing, comping, and web page markup
Proven experience growing visual brand identity
Willingness to improve processes
Strong organizational and communication skills
Have completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above
Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US
Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2025

Responsibilities:
Production asset creation (icons, logos, templates, banners, etc), illustrations, moodboarding and website mock ups
Work within brand guidelines with a willingness to push them for the best results
Maintain and support detailed design systems and shared design libraries
Creation of design slide deck templates and assets
Strong communication and presentation skills to share design ideas and process
Ability to work independently with proven leadership skills
Must be able to accept and iterate design based on feedback

US: Hiring Range: from $52,700 to $141,300 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
