Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
You will work independently to repair, fix, troubleshoot, and diagnose maintenance problems. Tasks include working on different plastics manufacturing machines, performing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work, and fabricating equipment or parts using welder, cutting torch, and shop tools. Responsibilities include:
Mechanical: Replacing and repacking bearings, swapping out pumps and motors, replacing rollers and gears, metal working, and attaching machine parts.
Electrical: Wiring machines, checking voltage and faults, replacing and troubleshooting photo eyes/lasers, and switch repairs.
Hydraulic/Pneumatic: Changing and rebuilding cylinders, replacing seals, replacing cylinders and solenoids, etc.
Using a laptop to diagnose machine faults, similar to a code reader for a car.

This is a fully on-site position in Fargo, North Dakota.
Work Environment
The facility is a large manufacturing plant located in the north industrial park in Fargo. It is consistently loud and can get a bit dusty. There are roughly 20 people on each shift. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and earplugs. Northern Pipe runs two rotating shifts: a day shift and a night shift. Candidates will train on days from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, until they become acquainted with the machines and processes. Then, they will transition to their assigned shift. The starting pay is $30/hr, with a $2/hr bonus for night shifts and an additional $3/hr for shifts worked on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights.
