Insurance Risk Analyst
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are currently seeking an Insurance Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management Department. As an Insurance Risk Analyst working for JBS, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day responsibilities of the Risk Management Team, providing support to our internal and external business partners concerning insurance inquiries. You will strategize and coordinate with external broker partners to ensure the JBS risk portfolio evolves and scales accordingly with the growth of our business. The Insurance Risk Analyst will provide support domestically and abroad.
Responsibilities:
Strategically manage and develop casualty book of business.
Support the Director with analysis and research of strategic projects.
Partner with our Risk Engineer to ensure compliance with companywide loss control.
Assist the Director with insurance integration of current and future M&As.
Support the Risk Management team by gathering documentation from internal sources.
Assist the Director with claim investigations and coverage review.
Become a subject matter expert on insurance to support internal teams.
Lead in the maintenance of the Risk Management insurance records keeping.
Partner and support internal transportation groups.
Collect and house reports from TPA in Risk Management SharePoint site.
Provide internal customer support for all COI requests.
Discipline to coordinate activities with our internal engineers and risk insurance engineers.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
4-year degree in risk management or bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, economics, accounting or mathematics, or 5 years of insurance related field.
Strong understanding of claims adjudication process and legal procedure. Claims adjuster licensure, P&C licensure or J.D. is a plus.
Captive Insurance experience is a plus.
Ability to implement tools to manage the risk management profile.
Predict current trends in the business market and develop suitable strategies.
Ability to discuss strategies with Insurance brokers, understand company risk, apply risk mitigation techniques, and identify any cost savings.
Have intense decision-making skills to manage risks at the right time.
Ability to use financial models which in turn provides a clear picture of the decisions taken.
Availability to work with our risk management team in other countries to discuss alternatives to reduce our premium costs and streamline company processes.
Proficient in excel, power point and word to prepare analysis, reports, and presentations.
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $80,000 – $90,000; and
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
