J ob Summary

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective purchasing processes and implementation of operational efficiencies for the Purchasing Department. Per instructions from superior, collaborate with other team members in identifying opportunities for cost reduction, managing, including training, monitoring, and evaluation of buyers and purchasing program. The Purchasing Manager may act as a purchasing agent for Emanate Health for capital procurement, work with superior and Contract Manager in negotiating pricing, procures inventory, supplies and services as required using accepted standard procurement policy and procedures ensuring uninterrupted availability of supplies and services at the most cost effective method. Purchasing Manager will supervise purchasing buyers in sourcing, placing orders, back order resolution, invoice pricing discrepancies resolution and customer service. Other related responsibilities as may be required by superior related to purchasing management. Purchasing Manager collaborates with other team members to ensure up to date, correct and complete item dictionary and pricing in Materials Management Information System.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Associate’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

Five (5) years of experience in Materials Management in a healthcare organization. Three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory role in Purchasing or Materials Management. Demonstrated ability to manage complex problems using analytical, project and process management.

Minimum License Requirement:

California Driver`s license. Must be able to commute to various campuses.

Pay Range:

$49.41 – $72.64
