Hair Stylist (On-Call) – Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort and Club

The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Hair Stylist (on-call) to join their Spa Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of Californias surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.

· Classification: On-Call

· Shift: Typically, 9AM to 4PM or 11AM to 6PM– availability to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays preferred.

What will I be doing?

As a Hair Stylist, you would be responsible for providing professional hair care and treatments to guests in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Perform hair care services including, but not limited to, cutting, styling, coloring, highlighting, updos, permanent waves and straightening
Provide accurate information about salon products
Utilize, maintain and conduct inventory of supplies and products
Maintain cleanliness of work area
Maintain records as required by federal, state, local and company regulations
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
Perform general Spa duties, as needed

The pay rate for this position is $16 per hour plus commission incentives plus part time benefits.
