Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (PHYSICAL) in the Security Operations Branch of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. SALARY: GS-07: $51,110 – $66,445 GS-09: $62,517 – $81,272 Responsibilities You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the key and lock control program that protects all of the shipyard buildings, facilities and gates. You will coordinate police/guard services with the Pearl Harbor Police Division in providing the necessary police protection for the complex. You will audit security forces inspection of personnel identification badges to ensure currency, clarity and accuracy of data. You will correct deficiencies reported by higher command and security officials within the division. You will conduct investigations into physical security violations. You will Interpret physical security instructions for security assistants who perform security checks. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative support in the performance and review of security investigations or audits (for example, key and locking devices, alarms, or security and access controls) to ensure compliance with directives and requirements.??????? FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For the GS-09 Grade level: Successful completion of a masters or equivalent graduate degree. -OR- Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a masters degree. -OR- Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the duties of the position being filled. For the GS-07 Grade level: Completed One (1) full year of graduate level education. -OR- Successful completion of a Bachelors Degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
