NBCUniversals Enterprise Technology organization is seeking a Sr Software Engineer who is determined to forge the next frontier of engineering through creativity, teamwork, & talent.
Responsibilities
Write clean, concise, readable, state-of-the-art code that follows common design patterns while adhering to the best engineering practices
Strive to constantly improve quality of engineering through code reviews, tech talks, pair programming & other collaborative practices
Understand business needs & design quality software solutions that work well with current architecture
Work with others on pushing technical boundaries & contribute to new processes & technologies
Ensure quality & confidence in software by writing effective automated unit tests
Promote and integrate test automation as a core responsibility for developers to ensure code reliability and maintainability
Basic Requirements:
5 years of professional software development experience
Strong knowledge of JavaScript & relevant JavaScript design patterns
Strong knowledge of Angular framework & typescript
Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/SASS
Knowledge how to unit test Angular app with Karma/Jasmine (or similar library)
Possess a strong understanding of AWS services and expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
Exposure to a server-side programing language
Strong knowledge of best practices & quality-first demeanor
The ability to jump into a project & contribute immediately to both architecture & implementation
Proficient in version control (Git, GitHub)
Values collaboration with teammates & stakeholders

Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
