Full Time Skill Builder

The Opportunity

The Skill Builder will provide individual and group rehabilitative services to children who are diagnosed with a mental health disorder. Services are provided in the childs home and/or community, are hands on, task oriented and intended to help the child achieve their identified goals and objectives while allowing a temporary break for the childs caregiver.

Responsibilities

Provide in-person off-site skill building services to assist the child to develop and apply skills in natural settings.

Provide hands on and task-oriented activities based upon the childs treatment plan.

Complete progress notes for each session and for telephone calls.

Complete treatment and safety plans in accordance with State and MCO guidelines.

Maintain consistent communication with supervisor regarding cases.

Attend required staff meetings, case conferences, training, and supervision.

Submit work by deadlines and in compliance with funding regulations and the agencys compliance plan.

Adhere to agency and NYS requirements including: HIPAA policies, ethical guidelines, safety protocols and OMIG compliance.

Deliver and document services using a strength-based and family-driven approach.

Maintain a minimum of 60% direct weekly service hours.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years experience or Bachelors degree.

Computer proficiency with MS Office

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Valid and Clean Drivers License

Compensation Information

The competitive compensation range is reflected with FCAs framework, culture, and values. Individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience while still allowing for growth.

Additional Information

Salary: 19.78/hr

This role is full-time (35 hours/week),nonexempt
