Advanced Software Engineer

Cannonsburg, PA

Contract Position

Advanced Software Engineer job in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. In this job you will support the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You will be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

 

– Design, develop, test, integrate, and configure software applications and components for defense systems.
– Diagnose and debug existing code to resolve software issues.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance and deployment requirements are met.
– Document development processes, including test plans and design specifications.
– Incorporate user feedback to improve software performance and functionality.
– Participate in technical architecture decisions for complex systems.

Qualifications:

 

– Education: Bachelors degree in STEM with 5 years of experience or a Masters degree with 3 years of experience.
– Clearance: U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
– Expertise in C/C and Object-Oriented Development.
– Experience with Windows application development (Win32 apps, WPF apps, WinUI 3 apps).
– Proficiency with Windows kernel-level debugging and diagnostics (Windows DDK, WinDBG, or equivalent tools).
– Strong skills in software design patterns (MVVM, MVP) and developing/debugging in Windows OS using Visual Studio IDE.
– Knowledge of DevOps practices, including version control, branching strategies, and automation for build, test, and deployment.
– Experience with relational databases like SQL/SQL Server.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

– Experience using lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Spectrum Analyzers, and related test gear.
– Familiarity with communication protocols (GPIB, RS232, SPI).
– Integration experience with National Instruments hardware (PXI, CRIO, CDAQ).
