THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Aging Care Management Supervisor 3 with our management team, you will participate in the administrative planning for the agency as a whole. Responsibilities include for formulating and implementing policies as well as reviewing and evaluating programs provided through sub-contractors. Your leadership skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying unmet needs in our aging community as well as implementing and maintaining quality assurance policy for our programs. Additionally, you will take part in relevant statewide meetings conducted by the Pennsylvania Association of Area Agencies on Aging and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, participating in other community planning groups as assigned.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that the staff is aware of state mandates and kept up to date on any program changes. Identifying any training needs for care managers and arranging for or conducting in-service training programs are ways you will support your team and ensure the effective implementation of all programmatic improvements. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years of experience in public or private social work, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; and a Bachelors Degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Luzerne or Wyoming counties. If no eligible candidates who live within Luzerne or Wyoming counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Monroe, Schuylkill, or Sullivan counties will be considered. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
