Description: We are seeking a tax accountant who is interested in joining a large corporate organization and growing their skills and knowledge in tax accounting and overall business acumen.

This role will be responsible for the following:

– Perform state and local tax research

-Support state income tax audits for the corporations state tax returns.

-Prepare state income tax filings of the corporation.

-Assist with performing the calculation of the current and deferred state income tax provision and forecasts.

-Assist with providing data for Forward Pricing and Incurred Cost audits.

-Analyze state tax information.

Basic Qualifications:

– 3 years experience working with state income tax laws and procedures.

– 3 years experience preparing state C Corp income tax returns.

– Ability to perform tax research.

– Proficiency w/Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel and Word (features include: VLookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Multiple Worksheets, Tables, Templates, etc.)

– High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to work with a team

-Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers.

Desired Skills:

– CPA and/or Masters Degree in Tax, Accounting, or related discipline

– 2 years experience with a Big Four or large public accounting firm experience

– Familiarity with ASC 740 and SARBOX

– Familiarity with Thomson Reuters OneSource and CorpTax

– Familiarity with AI, Alteryx and/or dashboards

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
