Tech III, Audio – Universal Epic Universe

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides the technical skills needed for the successful operation of audio elements for assigned Entertainment venue, project, or event, to ensure highest levels of show quality and a positive guest experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the operation of the audio equipment within the assigned venue, project, or event. To include operation of digital audio console and equipment for a small/medium live show or event with monitors and tracked performances.

Responsible for assisting in the appropriate installation/setup, strike, storage, and maintenance of audio equipment. Elevates any technical problems or concerns to crew chief and/or lead as they occur.

Takes direction from crew chief and/or lead to complete team objectives as assigned, such as assembly/testing/prepping of audio equipment. Maintains venue or event specific inventory of all audio equipment.

Communicates internally regarding technical problems, issues, and/or concerns.

Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures, as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment within the assigned venue or event.

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Technical school, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years of experience within the assigned technical discipline required.

Fundamental knowledge of basic low-voltage wiring, standard audio connectors, basic console signal flow/operation, basic microphone placement/technique, and computer skills including Microsoft Office required.

Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity;

or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Preferred: QSYS Level I, Dante Level I
