Resin Production Supervisor

As the Resin Shift Supervisor you will Manage plant production teams operation. You will have approximately 10-12 production wage employees reporting to you. You will be directly accountable for daily management of wage employees, safety, quality, scheduling, plant productivity and efficiency related to production. Additional responsibilities include housekeeping, training, emergency response, and plant guidance coverage. The schedule for this role will be a swing shift working 1st, 2nd, 3rd and two 12hr weekend shifts a month.
Key Responsibilities
Direct a team of hourly production employees to safely operate the plant on daily basis.
Maintain accurate record keeping in Kronos and Workday to ensure employees are paid
Immediate response to quality, safety and environmental incidents
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
Active member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and trained as Incident Commander for Emergency first-response.
Accountable for shift execution of daily production plan for quality and adherence to schedule.
Maintain housekeeping projects such as 6S and daily housekeeping audits.
Ensure staffing for safe and efficient operation of reactor systems, raw material and finished product movement.
Follow collective bargaining agreement contract terms.
Manage and resolve conflict within employee and peer groups.
Escalates safety, quality and production concerns to proper party within reasonable timeframe.
Participate in the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiative through generation and of Maintenance work orders including troubleshooting and equipment information.
Participate in equipment maintenance preparation and execution including new equipment commissioning through safe practices such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
Work with Operations Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager and Production team Coordinator to maintain production KPIs
Participate in daily Supervisor Meeting (Tier 2) along with other area supervisors to measure plant performance, establish and accomplish daily plan to correct deviations.
As part of the Extended Leadership Team, you will communicate and plant-wide projects.
Qualifications
College degree or High school diploma/equivalent with relevant experience.
1-5 years experience in plant operations
Setting clear expectations, mentoring and accountability.
Understanding of labor relations and experience in union environment.
